After keeping fans waiting for over 20 years, the Madchester legends today released a new track titled ‘All For One’

Today saw the return of 90s indie band, The Stone Roses who announced the release of the single All For One – their first new material since 1995’s Ten Storey Love Song B-sides. Making the statement on the band’s official Twitter profile, the track was scheduled for release at 8pm on Thursday 12 May and premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio One earlier this evening.

Since reuniting for a world tour in 2011, it has been widely speculated that the core line-up – vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani, and drummer Reni – would return to make another record. Rumours had been circulating that the group’s long-awaited third album would arrive this year to coincide with this summer’s live gigs, which hadn’t been confirmed but is now looking more likely. The venues for the upcoming dates include New York’s Madison Square Garden, Marley Park in Dublin, four homecoming shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and a headline slot at Scottish festival T In The Park.

The song’s iTunes link has been made public by the band in order to buy the track, but it is also possible to stream the track on Spotify, so users can listen using the embedded player below…
