ormer Beatle Ringo Starr has announced on his YouTube channel that he’s completed a new album, which is due for release some time next year. In the 49-second video, which you can see below, Starr says: “I’ve finished my record, mixed the record and, next year, it will be out on Universal Records.”
The new album will be Starr’s 18th solo studio record, the most recent being Ringo 2012. Starr then mentions that his All-Starr Band may be touring in February and March, and goes on to thank his fans for their support of his recent tour, before signing off with his trademark “peace and love”.
Starr was recently elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, alongside the likes of Lou Reed and Joan Jett. His induction means that all of The Beatles will be members of the Hall of Fame for their solo careers. The ceremony will take place on 18 April.
