Alt-rock legends albums ‘Lifes Rich Pageant’ (1986), ‘Dead Letter Office’ (1987) and ‘Eponymous’ (1988) will all get the vinyl treatment

They’re one of the most successful and well loved alt-rock bands of all time and now R.E.M. have given their fans something new to cheer, after it was revealed that they will be reissuing three of their classic 1980s’ albums on vinyl.

The albums in question are Lifes Rich Pageant (1986), Dead Letter Office (1987) and Eponymous (1988) and they are to be reissued by Capitol Records/Universal Music Enterprises on 29 July.

R.E.M. formed in Athens, Georgia, U.S. in 1980. They released their debut album Murmur in 1983 and went on to release a total of 15 studio albums and 63 singles before eventually disbanding in 2011. R.E.M have sold over 85 million records worldwide and in 2007 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
