Lost Songs I features undiscovered songwriting gems from all over the world

Campaign seeking to find the next David Bowie, John Lennon, Adele or Ed Sheeran will release an album this June

Last October we told you about the Lost Songs campaign being run by Ticking Tree’s songwriter ADMAN, which believes that “out there, somewhere, just waiting to be found, are songs like Lennon’s Imagine.” Now the campaign is releasing an album of these lost songs.

Due out on 3 June, Lost Songs I will feature 16 tracks and comes after the campaign sought out undiscovered songwriting gems from all over the world. The album is to be released by M:89 Records and was recorded at Metropolis Studios, where an average of 50% of the UK’s Top 40 Chart is recorded, mixed or mastered.

Speaking of the inspiration for Lost Songs, ADMAN has said: “We believe that out there, somewhere, just waiting to be found, are songs like Lennon’s Imagine, Adele’s Someone Like You, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, and so on. That is what inspired the Lost Songs project: we want to find them!”

The campaign will soon begin work on the next album of lost songs. If you feel that you are the owner of a lost song and want to feature on the record keep your eyes peeled, as details on the Lost Songs II album compilation selection process will be released on the Lost Songs site.
