Today’s exclusive is from the brilliant, Cyphered Threads
This week’s exclusive track is a seven minute epic from a musical ensemble who’ve drawn comparison with Nine Inch Nails
Formed in Brooklyn, New York a decade ago, Cyphered Threads is the musical ensemble of performance artist Kika Von Klück. Brought together after Von Klück invited a group of musicians to compose a soundscape for one of her pieces, we are exclusively bringing you their track, Gallop.
Of the track, they say:””Based on the concept of ‘dominator and partnership cultures,’ the co-opted model image of the white horse flying into the sun relates to a self destructive, obstinate quest. It represents the idea that power’s fire can be blinding and destructive, not only for the individual, but also for everything around him.”
They’ve been likened to Nine Inch Nails, Bjork and Pharmakon. We also think that fans of Throbbing Gristle and Einstürzende Neubauten will find much to enjoy in Gallop. As always, though, listen below and decide for yourself…
