Tonight’s exclusive is from a London born songwriter whose composed and sensitive piano driven melodies will tug on your heartstrings
The first impression of Samuel Jack’s All The Things you get, is that it’s a track designed to provide the musical backdrop to a moment of tender heartache in a big glossy drama. It comes as no surprise to hear then that Jack’s music has already featured on US hit TV shows Nashville, Satisfaction, About A Boy and & Grimm among others.
He may have been born in London, but his roots have wormed their way across the globe. Having spent his childhood travelling to Johannesburg, the Netherlands and across the globe with his father, Jack has finally settled in UK county Dorest.
Living, writing and recording in a caravan got Jack’s creative juices flowing and inspired him to create his debut EP & full-length album, with both records to be released later this year. All The Things is a new song from Jack and he had this to say of it: “All The things was one of those songs that just came out. It’s about an all encompassing love, and in some respects also about loss.”
He’s been likened to Hozier, Jack Savoretti, Ben Howard and Jake Bugg among others. We also think there’s a little of Tom Odell in his twinkling, melodic and sobre piano melodies. Don’t just take our word for it, though, listen below and see if you agree…
