We’re bringing you a track by an artist who counts some of the finest electronic acts ever among his inspirations

Formerly of Those Mockingbirds, Adam Bird, AKA, aBIRD, has now been freed to indulge in his electronic influences of David Bowie, Massive Attack, Radiohead, and Air. The result is A Cool Island Song and we’re bringing it to you today.

Of A Cool Island Song, Bird says: “I had always heard that drinking ocean water can make people really sick and see things that might not really be there. So I decided to tell a love story that seems too good to be true via that concept, leaving the main character to never be entirely sure if it’s real or not.”

Does aBIRD do justice to his influences? Listen below and you’ll find out…

If you like that aBIRD will be releasing his debut album later this year. In the meantime, you can find more about aBIRD via Facebook, and his official website.
