The iconic Jazz Chorus guitar amp gets trimmed down, making it suitable for home practice, songwriting, recording and intimate performances

Roland has released the JC-22, the latest model in the long-running Jazz Chorus guitar amplifier series. The combo offers Roland’s classic JC clean tone and famous Dimensional Space Chorus effect in a compact amp that’s designed for playing at home. Offering the essential features of the popular JC-40 in a scaled-down size, the JC-22 is also suitable for intimate performances and recording.

The JC-22 features two independent power amps producing a rated power output of 30W, through two 6.5-inch custom-designed speakers. The amp also includes a reverb and signature Dimensional Space Chorus effect for expansive stereo sound, but its trademark clean tone offers a platform for all types of stompbox pedals. In addition to a standard mono input, the amp features a front-panel stereo input for connecting stereo effects devices.

The amplifier’s rear panel is outfitted with an effects loop compatible with mono or stereo devices, and offers selectable serial or parallel operation. Line Out jacks provide a convenient mono or stereo feed to a mixing board or recorder, and a headphones jack for quiet practice. Users can also connect optional footswitches to turn the JC-22’s chorus and reverb effects on/off while playing.

The JC-22 Jazz Chorus guitar amplifier will be available in November at a street price of £369. To learn more, visit roland.com
