Hohner Inc. is expanding its A+ line of student guitars to include uniquely styled bluegrass instruments – banjos and mandolins

enowned harmonic and accordian maker – and internationally preferred supplier of student guitars – Hohner Inc. is extending this tradition, adding an F mandolin, A mandolin, travel banjo, open-back banjo and a resonator banjo to their established A+ range.

“The A+ brand was created expressly so that we could highlight the many manufacturing and design improvements that have been incorporated in the production of these instruments,” explained Rock Clouser, Hohner’s stringed instrument Product Manager. “These refinements produce instruments that have been optimized for maximum playability, featuring stable and reliable quality, improved tactile response and accurate intonation.”

“The goal of A+ by Hohner is to provide excellent instruments for a positive enriching learning experience for players of any age and any skill level,” stated Scott Emmerman, Director of Marketing & Sales. “We start with high criteria, carefully review details and develop instruments that are ‘fun-damentally’ different.”

The F and A style mandolins feature traditional tobacco sunburst finishes, solid one-piece tailpieces, a rock-solid multi-pin body-neck joint, enlarged side position markers, and properly seasoned wood.

Additional A+ features include custom bracing, specified fret sizes, and upgraded strings, nuts and bridges. The F mandolin even has a convenient sculpted fingerboard extension for fast bluegrass picking styles.

The A+ by Hohner banjos features a rich mahogany red 24 bracket shell, deluxe tuners, a Remo Weatherking Fiberskyn head, an ebony-top three-leg maple bridge, truss rod and upgraded strings.

All A+ by Hohner Student Bluegrass instruments ship with a padded black nylon gig bag. For more information, go to us.playhohner.com
