Introducing the WireTap Riff Recorder
TC Electronic unveils what is claimed to be the “must-have songwriting tool” – a pedal and app for capturing song ideas
Danish audio equipment manufacturer, TC Electronic has unveiled the WireTap Riff Recorder – a pedal and accompanying smartphone app designed to capture melodic ideas. The pedal offers eight hours of recording time, stored in 24-bit 44.1khz uncompressed audio quality. The true bypass pedal switch is used to start and stop recording, the Play button recalls the most recent riff and the Back and Next buttons scroll through the recordings. The unit is powered by a standard 9V DC/100mA mains supply.
Synchronising via Bluetooth connectivity, the accompanying free app for iOS and Android devices makes it possible for users to transfer, trim, tag, name and group recorded riffs, or share them with collaborators. The WireTap app is also a standalone voice recorder with a built-in peak meter.
TC Electronic’s WireTap Riff Recorder is available on preorder at a suggested retail price of £129.99. For more, take a look at the official product video below and visit: tcelectronic.com/wiretap-riff-recorder
